Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Baker
Year 12 English is a course that covers all facets of the level 2 English course allowing students to gain level 2 literacy.
While there are up to 29 credits available for students to achieve there are a number that can are optional for students. There is also the scope to learn in a particular area but be assessed for it in another subject area. This is so students are not being over assessed but also to ensure that a thorough program is being maintained. It guarantees that a student has covered all the prerequisite learning to achieve Level 2 Literacy and if they chose to go on and complete level 3 even if they were not assessed specifically for a standard at level 2.
Two classes are run at level 2 and while there are similarities between them there are subtle differences in the texts taught that cater to students specific needs.
