Year 7 Textiles Technology - This course provides students with an opportunity to learn about design and function and then implement basic sewing skills.
Course Overview
Term 1
This compulsory course is based over two terms.
This class involves cross curricula work with art department where students learn about design, balance, shape and colour before completing a wood cut which is then ink printed onto fabric. Students then learn how to use a sewing machine and can use their fabric print for decorative aspect for a shoulder bag or a pillow.
