Year 8 Food and Nutrition

Course Description

In Year 8 Food and Nutrition students will learn a range of basic practical skills to allow them to decode and follow a recipe independently. The will be introduced to  nutrition,daily food requirements,food safety and well being. 

Course Overview

Term 1
Seasonal foods are used to develop students basic practical skills . Students are encouraged to find their own recipes and decode them.

Term 2
Basic nutrition and food safety are introduced to students.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Contributions will be $15 per term to allow students to have a wide range of ingredients and the ability to develop skills.
A book of their choice is required for notes.
