Levels One and Two English. This is a literature-based course. Students will need to have completed a full Level 2 English programme and passed at least one Level 2 external standard to be prepared for Level 3 English. Both Level 2 English with Media and Level 2 English lead to level 3 English.
Pathway
Year 13 English will help give students a good grounding in interpreting texts and in research skills. It will also help them develop a range of writing styles. They will be required to do some independent learning and to show critical thinking. The combination of all of this will help lay a solid foundation from which other subjects will benefit, as well as enhancing their appreciation of English as a subject in its own right.
