Level 1 French
Course Description
In Year 11 French students learn to communicate in writing and speaking at a higher level. Writing consists of planning an overseas exchange and their speech is about themselves, their future and their families and interests.
Recommended Prior Learning
It is highly recommended that students have studied French at Year 10 and they have a basic understanding of French vocabulary and grammar.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
A vocabulary book approximately $20, if purchased, is for own use, can be written on and kept by students and be of ongoing usefulness. However, workbooks will be available for students not purchasing their own copy so they will not be disadvantaged. They will have access to all the same exercises and necessary content. These will be treated as school text books; text book issue rules will apply and they cannot be written in. Students will be expected to work on their own paper/exercise books when doing activities from these issued workbooks.
